Having grown up on the same land that Brookside Stables is currently located on, she is the founder of the stables with the support of her husband Bret, her father, Stanley Cross and daughter Melissa Hammond. In 1997, with 5 years under her belt teaching informally and previous students urging her to make the leap, Ann took up instructing professionally and has since been going strong. With a lifetime of working with horses, she now focuses mostly on her true passions...western pleasure, driving and teaching youth from the ground up. Between working with the upcoming generation of young riders and playing with her gorgeous Appaloosa mare, Myia, or her beautiful QH mare Josie or with one or both of her cutiest family members the minis, Miss Jayne and Sox. Ann can be counted on to be found somewhere on the farm at most times.

The ones that have gone into the show ring have done incredible! All the hard work pays off!
