Having grown up on the same land that Brookside Stables is located on, she is the founder of the stables with the support of her husband Bret, her father, Stanley Cross and daughter, now business partner Melissa Hammond. In 1997, with 5 years under her belt teaching informally and with previous students urging her to make the leap, Ann took up instructing professionally.
Now in 2023 after teaching for 31 years she has stepped aside from teaching full time, she is considering herself partially retired. Melissa is now the main instructor at Brookside and Ann is very proud of Melissa's teaching ability and loves to watch her teach. Partially retirement allows for more time enjoying her true passions... trail riding and camping with her heart horse Dakota. |

The ones that have gone into the show ring have done incredible! All the hard work pays off!
